On Saturday, October 4th, Vanessa Place & David Rutschman will be the first to read outloud and in the open at Ada's new location, 717 Westminster Street. I hope you will do me and them the honor of being there and occasionally breaking into spontaneous, vociferous adulations. Of course, there will be things to eat & drink. And chairs for the worthy.

Also! On Tuesday, October 7th, Nate Powell, former denizen of Providence's West Side, will sign on and read from his new picture book, Swallow Me Whole.

This one will be at 7 o'clock. Buy a book, drink a beer and shake hands with the man behind the pen.

Hi, Stranger. I've got some news for you. Ada Books is moving. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . around the corner. As of October 1st, my new digs will be at 717 Westminster Street. The old place, as charming as it was, turned out to be a temptation for thieves and taggers. The new location has better security, higher visibility and even greater charm. I know you're going to like it. See you soon.
